2017 Was a Very Good Year for Us

The end of a year invites some reminiscing. Reviewing 2017 reminded me of what a special year God granted us. January took Larry and me to our first March for Life in Washington DC. We also got to spend time with extended family in the area. Click here to see “Photos from the March For Life Rally 2017.”

2017 marked some significant milestones. Larry and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with a trip to Israel with a favorite Bible teacher Ken Boa.

We spent our most emotional day at the Holocaust Museum in Jerusalem.

We had plenty of fun too! Click here for photos and thoughts from our trip in “Shalom, Shalom—How Israel Impacted Me.”

I made some new friends at conferences and speaking events.

Larry joined me when I spoke in Middleburg, VA and made a new furry friend. The world shrank a bit when I hosted my first on-line Bible study and joined some other online groups.

Visits from extended family spiced up our lives.

A local bookstore chose Little Women, Big God as one of their staff picks!

My daughter Ginny invited me to join her on a trip to Rome and the Greek Isles. We spent a fabulous time together. I snapped this picture of her in the Vatican.

My weekly Bible study gals continue to bless me as we grow together in our faith and relationships with each other. Above we celebrated Christmas together with our husbands.

The year held some tension for us too. You may recall I lost all my computer data for ten days. God taught me some valuable lessons and then graciously restored it.

Max, our standard poodle, scared us the week before Christmas with another Addison’s episode. He spent a day and a night in the vet hospital. So thankful to have our buddy back.

Larry and I consider you to be one of God’s gracious gifts. May the Lord bless you and yours this New Year and grant you the desires of your heart as you delight yourself in Him!
